Without a high quality and well qualified staff team we are nothing.

We are proud of our happy, professional team of Nursery Practitioners, all of whom have been chosen for their ability and commitment to care for and nurture young children.

At The Counting House we ensure that our staff are well qualified in appropriate childcare qualifications as well as further qualifications including First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding.

In conjunction with a number of external training organisations and Kirklees Early Years, our staff receive regular training & development. Enhancing their skills, knowledge and understanding of all aspects of childcare

All staff undertake to have an Enhanced DBS Check which is completed upon commencing employment with us.

Partnership with Parents

The Counting House practitioners have been praised by Ofsted for their strong partnerships with parents. Parents are a vital part of our team and we believe building a mutually trusting, supportive relationship with you makes a real difference to your child’s development and wellbeing.

We work hard to promote a happy and harmonious relationship with both children and parents as we recognise that the best childcare is achieved through close co-operation with the family. A successful partnership with parents is based on the exchange of information, knowledge and expertise.

When a child joins us, they are allocated a key person who becomes their primary carer whilst at The Counting House and with whom they, and their family, will build a secure relationship ensuring all feel included, secure, valued and welcome in the nursery.

Access to ‘Tapestry’, your child’s online learning journal, is fundamental to their journey through nursery.

‘Tapestry’ is the way for us to record the special moments of your child’s development and more importantly their progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), but also it is an opportunity to keep parents involved in a partnership as your children blossom and grow.
