Smithies Moor Lane

Our ‘Birstall’ Nursery located on Smithies Moor Lane was the first in our group when we took ownership in 2006. Since then it has developed into a thriving, well attended and popular nursery with children and parents alike.

Currently registered for 51 children in total, the converted Zion Chapel building has a warm & welcoming feel to it with our provision provided over two floors. Downstairs sees our Over 3’s & Toddler Rooms along with access outside to our outdoor space & garden area. Upstairs leads to our light, airy and very well-resourced Baby Room.

Children in the nursery benefit from playing with a wide range of high quality, well-organised resources. Subsequently, the resources are stored so they are easily accessible to children, to help them develop their independence successfully.

What better to way for children to enjoy outdoor play, come rain or shine, than in the garden at The Counting House. Whether it’s playing in the large two storey Wendy House, driving up & down our purpose made ‘roads’ on their bikes and trikes or digging for worms and serving Mud Pie in the Outdoor Kitchen….there’s something for every child of every age outdoors!
