Less than two years after opening our first nursery, we took the opportunity to turn a struggling nursery in Heckmondwike into the fantastic, home-from-home nursery that you can see today.

Extensive refurbishment and adaptations to the former detached house have seen The Counting House at Heckmondwike become a very inviting, friendly and well-resourced nursery to place your child.

Please note: this nursery is currently a term-time only nursery. We close the nursery at every Kirklees school holiday

Registered for 41 children, this nursery boasts a multitude of playrooms and activity spaces downstairs that lead trough into our large, bright conservatory. Which in turn provides constant access to our excellent, fully enclosed outdoor area.

The Baby Room is located upstairs and provides a comforting, stimulating and welcoming place for our smallest customers.

The garden is large and full of many activities for children to use and explore. Our range of climbing frames & tyres satisfy the most energetic children, whilst the green fingered ‘gardeners’ can enjoy planting & seeding their own fruit & vegetables in our very own raised beds. The produce of which always end up in our kitchen and on the children’s plates at mealtimes.

We even unearthed a full size Well in the garden, complete with water in the bottom! This totally safe (and unique) feature is always popular with all the children as they take it in turns to throw pebbles down into the water!
